We want to be the first capital injection in the venture, because the early-stage is where we can add the most value and ensure the right structure from the beginning. We invest in companies that are pre revenue and do not yet have a high pre-money valuation.
At what stage you invest?
Everything depends on how far along the company is. We tend to be a minority shareholder of the financed company.
What percentage you take when you invest?
Our focus is mainly in Cyprus and countries in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa but as long as you have a passionate team and a solid product do not hesitate to send us your ideas.
In which countries?
Once your business plan is received we try to review and get back within 10 days.
How long I wait for an answer?
It probably means that we do not have the right expertise to take on your project; we will however try to send out some feedback of why we chose not to invest in your start up within the 10 days.
If I don’t get a reply?
We work mostly via email or skype meetings and will not meet a company for a first presentation before reading your business plan for the simple reason that if we did attend all the proposals we get we would be wasting a vast majority of our time.
I want to meet the team – when/where?
We believe that someone has to open the door for you, so if we can help we will but we cannot promise anything.
What if I don’t need money and I just need push from a network?
Incubo Ventures is solely funded by its founders. We are not seeking additional partners for the moment. However contact us to join our list of potential co-investors which might open up in the next few months.
I want to invest in Incubo Ventures, is it possible?
We prefer to invest in startups with at least two founders. We will however, consider your project but try to find at least one co-founder or team member.
What if I am a solepreneur?
We take confidentiality very seriously and will never share any company’s confidential material with anyone outside our firm without their consent. Given the number of plans we come across we are unable to sign NDAs because we might be looking at two or three similar deals at a time. But if you feel that by just talking about your idea could lead to the creation of many competitors, you should wait to be more confident before contacting us.
Was is our Non disclosure agreements policy?
